Blackheath Observing – Friday 28 September or Saturday 29 September

We will be running a Blackheath Observing session on Friday 28th September (main night) or Saturday 29th September (weather back-up night, if conditions on Friday are poor) from 8pm until around 11pm. As with all observing events, we will only go ahead if weather conditions allow, and a "go/no-go" decision will be made on the day of the event. We will have at least three scopes available at the session, but please feel free to come along with your own.…

Visit to e-Eye Telescope Hosting Facility in Spain – 4th – 7th October 2018

  We are planning a visit to the telescope hosting facility of Entre Encinas y Estrellas (otherwise known as e-Eye), in Fregenal de la Sierra, Spain. E-Eye has a very dark sky (typical SQM reading in summer is 22) where the Milky Way is clearly visible including the dust lanes and with up to 270 clear nights per year.
