THIS EVENT IS CONFIRMED ON. We are running a public solar viewing event to view the partial solar eclipse at the Royal Observatory Greenwich. All members and non members are welcome. Please note, this event is held inside the Royal Observatory, so normal entrance charges apply.

Please note, this event is held inside the Royal Observatory, so normal entrance charges apply. Flamsteed members can enter for free as part of their museum membership. If you’re not a member, the event is open to anyone on site!
The partial solar eclipse begins at 10.07am GMT in London and ends at 12pm.
The eclipse will reach its 'maximum' - the moment when the greatest portion of the Sun is hidden - at 11.03am. During this eclipse, a the maximum of around 30-40% of the Sun will be obscured.
We will continue with a short solar observing session after the end of the eclipse.
Location will be by the PLANETARIUM CONE, just inside the main entrance at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
