THIS EVENT IS CONFIRMED ON We will be running a Blackheath Observing session on Friday 28th September from 8pm until around 11pm. There will be plenty of objects to hold our interest during the observing session. The most notable of these is the Summer Triangle comprising the bright stars of Vega, Deneb and Altair. THIS EVENT IS CONFIRMED ON Our second Blackheath observing event of the new season is scheduled to take place this Friday (26th October). The event is planned to begin at 7.30pm. It looks like (for two events in a row!!) we will have a quality clear sky on Friday evening. The night should hold plenty of interest. Our next scheduled observing event was proposed to take place tonight (Friday 30 November) depending on the weather. Unfortunately the various weather forecasts and satellite info is suggesting cloud and at best, poor seeing . Therefore we have decided it is not practical for the event to go ahead so tonight's Blackheath observing session is now CANCELLED. Apologies to those of you looking forward to it. Our next Blackheath Observing event will be on 14 or 15 December.
