Finally got round to finishing this one. I was determined to forget work and do some imaging on the Bank Holiday but while it started off clear, it was not long before the clouds began to creep in and slowly thicken. This image is a 20 panel mosaic with a further 20 panels forming a prominence ring, although proms are hard to come by in the K Line.

I got off to a good start but then had to wait for gaps in the cloud and grab the odd panel. It took nearly 4 hours to cover the disc with lots of standing around and waiting for breaks in the cloud. Got there in the end though.

So this is 20 panels for the disc. 1000 frame videos for each panel reduced to 200 frames after stacking. Then each panel is given a light wavelet sharpen before being assembled in PS.

    Now for the Ha one…..

Great image… lots of active areas at the moment, aren’t there?

Not sure you’ll have much luck with imaging this weekend!
