    Taken on 05/10/14 which was about the last time I remember the Sun shining long enough for me to take an image! Please can we have some more Sun soon (on a weekend please)

    I dont suppose you had a chance to image the humongous sunspot that appeared yesterday and is still in view today?

    Saw an image from Pete Lawrence today of this sunspot. It’s enormous!

    Apparently it can be seen with the naked eye (with solar glasses, of course!)… at least 8 Earth diameters across.

    We may get some Earth-directed solar eruptions from this active region over the coming week.
